Job Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager, Financial Planning and Business Analysis to assist the Group CFO in overseeing the business analysis of the Group.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, with a proven track record of adopting a business-oriented culture to manage finance effectively. The incumbent will play a critical role in driving financial performance, optimizing business processes, and supporting strategic decision-making; and will work closely with stakeholders in multi-businesses to analyze complex data, develop actionable insights, and implement effective solutions.
Provide strategic financial analysis and insights to facilitate business decision-making and drive business performance.
Oversee and critically review financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting across all portfolio companies.
Enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of budgeting and forecasting processes with a forward-looking approach.
Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to support strategic planning and business growth initiatives.
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and capitalize on opportunities for cost optimization and revenue enhancement.
Serve as a role model for the finance team, providing guidance and fostering professional development and promoting a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Assist the adoption of innovative technologies and best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, and data-driven capabilities.
Manage investment analysis and evaluate potential investment opportunities with recommendations.
Key deliverables: (1) Prepare and present detailed reports, dashboards, and presentations to senior management and to establish clear KPIs to track performance of portfolio companies, with the ability to interpret data and service actionable commercial insights; (2) Design and implement process improvements in financial operations to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and transparency; and prepare regular status reports on these improvements; (3) Develop a comprehensive digital library to bolster documentation capabilities with a with the aim of improving the existing finance systems.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; and/or globally recognized professional qualifications in the accounting or equivalent discipline (e.g. CPA).
Proven experience in a senior financial leadership role, preferably within a multi-business conglomerate, with a track record of motivating teams to achieve outstanding results and focusing on process improvement and project management.
Strong knowledge of financial management principles, practices, and regulations.
Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and data visualization tools.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
Demonstrated ability to drive a business-oriented culture within the finance function.
Experience with technologies and systems. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint is essential. Knowledge of data visualization tools is a plus.
Good business acumen to translate business requirements into effective solutions.
A forward-thinking mindset with a passion for innovation, continuous improvement, and the pursuit of excellence.
Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese.
